Reflection

Hello guys, this is the last task as I tell you before. It just like an critic and suggestion for the learning processes for one semester writing for personal communication with my instructor, Ms. Devi Hermasari. Thanks for everything you give to us Ms. I hope in the next semester I can get lecturer like you again. Aamiin.C’mon, Let’s take a look!

Reflection

1.    My interest in learning English, especially writing

I like writing, because through writing we can also study grammar, reading, pronounciation, etc. Moreover, in this major, the instructor is very kind, friendly, very patient, and fun. So, learning is very fun and comfortable.

This major teach me many more I never do before, like an writing postcard and journal, send a message to foreign friend, and post it in my blog. It is motivates me to write and learn more and more

2.    My opinion on doing Project Based Learning

For me, sometimes it is fun and challenging, and sometimes boring too. Some Project are very interesting for me, like an have a message with foreign friend, search some information about abroad scholarship, write a postcard, etc.

Something make me bored is to give comment in another blog post’s friend. Not boring, but I am confused what should I write in comment column, because every friend’s post must commented. It is good to improve writing skills through comment in another blog post. But sometimes we can not see, what should they repair from their post

3.    The advantages from doing the Project Based Learning

Many advantages I get from doing this project, such as get new foreign friend, learning something new about postcard, grammar Nazi, learn how to send a message to our lecturer well, search many information and get more specific through sending email, and many more.

The loved project are get a new friend foreign, writing postcard, and learn grammar nazi. First project, get new friend foreign, it is challenging and fun, because I don’t know how to get it. Then I ask my friend and she suggests me to use “airtripp”. Then I download it and try to get new friend. Finnally, I get many friend there, one of them is Mariam. She is from Iraq. She is 26 years old but she is still study in the university. We share anything about ourself, our country, our culture, and many more.

Second, writing postcard, why? Because I don’t everything about postcard. How it shaped and how to write it. I just know it can buy in the post office. Then I search about postcard in the internet and my friend buy it for me. Finnally I know what should I do with postcard just in this project.

Third, learn grammar nazi, it is so fun. We can found the wrong sentences in the English language, not just the grammar but writing too. If you read that sentence, you will laugh certainly. Not only to search it, we must try to correct it.

4.    The challenges of doing the Project Based Learning

The challenges are many more, consist of how to get foreign friend, how to send a message to lecturer well, how to write Vlog script, and many more. Because I don’t know whatever about that. So, I must learn it more.

Three challenging project are get foreign friend, vlog script, and write postcard. Like an my opinion above about get foreign friend and write postcard. I don’t know how to get it, I never have foreign friend. So it is a challenging project for me.

Write postcard, because I love write in long sentences and many more sentences, so it is challenges for me to write short sentences in small spaces in postcard. Vlog script, I dont know how to write it. For me Vlog script more detail like an story in general. In the vlog script, we must write it more detail so when another person read it they can imagine and do that without we emust explain it again.

5.    My feedback on how the instructor facilitates the process of Project Based Learning

So far, the instructor is very well when facilitated the process of doing project. Because she always explain it before we start to doing it and always ask what the diffucties or so far we can do it. Things to learn are prepared very well and I loved it. All the things are very fun, comfortable, and interesting. She can bring up our curiousity to learn more and more.

Things to improve, I think you can give comment too in our blog post. Not in every blog or blog post, but in some your interesting article we are post. To make us know or to give us an example how to comment well, or what should we comment, etc. So we dont very confused when we will comment in the blog post

6.    Overall impression on doing the Project Based Learning

I am very thankful to my instructor. With you I can learn more something new I’ve never learn and know before. You are give me more knowledge, experiences, and many more I cant tell in this Portofolio. You are very patient to teach us. You always give interesting project to make learning more fun. Thanks a lot

Whether I will continue recording my own Portofolio in the future, when I have enough times to post it and it is interesting Portofolio. Because I dont know I can post it or not. I just hope I can post it and make my blog is very usefull for the reader.
